Primary 1,2 and 3 W5 Workshops

Pupils from P1-3 in Rasharkin Primary and P2 in St Patrick's enjoyed a Christmas workshop, 'Santa in Space: Planetarium Show', delivered by the brilliant W5.

Bringing their portable planetarium on tour, pupils enjoyed an unforgettable journey through the stars to the International Space Station (ISS) to find out how astronauts survive in space. The boys and girls even received a special video message from Santa! 

After this, the children learned how to make rockets and had fun launching them!  

The children also participated in KNEX challenges, as well as 'In Our Nature' and Mini Music Lab' Workshops, also delivered by W5.

Children learned lots of interesting facts about minibeasts and were able to make their own minibeast, along with meeting W5's resident Giant African land snail!

Our pupils discovered lots about sound through the exploration of instruments and activities and had the opportunity to make their own instruments!

Primary 1,2 and 3 End of year trip to W5 - 'Making Sense' Workshop

Pupils from P2 in St Patrick's and P1-3 in Rasharkin Primary enjoyed an end of year trip to W5.

Through games and activities, the children worked together to explore the 5 senses of sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch. This workshop helped the children to be able to identify each of their senses and what they enable us to do! The children enjoyed their day together in W5.
