Flipgrid is a video recording communication tool that allows students to interact with each other, their teachers, and their local and global communities. Flipgrid's ease of use makes it an ideal video recording platform for novice or expert technology users. Participants will see classroom examples and have the opportunity to use the program on their own devices.

Newsela is an instructional content platform that supercharges reading engagement and learning in every subject. Newsela provides teachers, parents, and students with over 1,000 current event articles scaled at five different grade levels. Word count is reduced but the content remains the same providing differentiation for students.

Luis is the Director of Unified Arts at Middletown High School. He serves as a Districtwide Technology Innovation Coach. Luis is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, Flipgrid Ambassador, and a Flipgrid Certified Educator. He is an avid user of technology to enhance student learning in the classroom.
