How do students demonstrate not only what they have learned but also how and why? With App Smashing, even the youngest of students can construct powerful multimedia creations to demonstrate their understanding and make their thinking visible. In this hands-on workshop, we will explore ways to develop App Fluency in elementary classrooms and scaffold the process of teaching students to become active constructors of their own learning artifacts and to develop their voice as learners.

Beth Holland's Bio
Beth Holland is a doctoral candidate, writer, speaker, and professional development instructor. Her dissertation research at Johns Hopkins University focuses on supporting American public school leaders with the systemic innovation of classroom practice with technology. She has spent the past 18 years working in and around K-12 schools. Beth also holds a Master's degree in Technology Innovation & Education from Harvard University as well as a Bachelor's degree from Northwestern University.
