The Bristol Warren Regional School District and Middletown Public Schools invite you to Digital Learning Day 2017! The day features professional learning opportunities with over 50 teacher-led workshops focusing on four event themes:

Visible Thinking | Global Connections & Student Voice | Collaboration & Creation | Blended Learning Models

Our day will also feature 6 expert guest presenters and our nationally renown keynote speaker, Dr. Reshan Richards! Each of the 50+ sessions will focus on instructional strategies, samples of student work, and time for hands-on exploration and a guided challenges for participants to apply their learning.

Our Digital Learning Day will be held at Kickemuit Middle School, Warren, RI. Registration is from 7:45-8:15 am. The keynote speaker session will be held in the Auditorium from 8:15-9:15 am following the professional development sessions from 9:25 am to 2:30 pm. Please bring your school issued device and the registration confirmation email that you will receive when you register.

Dr. Reshan Richards

Reshan Richards will share some stories and insights that can be helpful when thinking about new tools, instructional design, and making meaning in school.

About Dr. Reshan Richards

Dr. Reshan Richards is adjunct assistant professor at Teachers College, Columbia University and associate at Columbia University’s School for Professional Studies. He is also Chief Learning Officer at Explain Everything, which he co-founded and is co-author of Blending Leadership: Six Simple Beliefs for Leading Online and Off. Reshan has an Ed.D. in Instructional Technology and Media from Teachers College, Columbia University, an Ed.M in Learning and Teaching from Harvard University, and a B.A. in Music from Columbia University. He currently serves on the boards for Apple's Apple Distinguished Educators program and Montclair Kimberley Academy, a PK-12 independent school in New Jersey.
