NTI Information Came Home Today!
In the event of weather conditions that will prohibit school from meeting in person, we will provide the following educational opportunities for students. Please monitor the weather and we will make a school-wide decision about sending home chromebooks. During traditional NTI, two way communication during the typical school day hours (9:10am - 3:50pm) will be required in order to be considered present or “participating” for that day.
Student/Parent Expectations:
Ensure that you have two way communication with the teacher(s) between the hours of 9:10am - 3:50pm (email, remind message, DOJO message, Zoom/Google Meet, Go-Guardian messages, etc). Communication with every student/family is essential for your child to get participation credit for attendance purposes. If we do not have enough students engaged in NTI, we may have to make up the day later in the year.
Ensure the chromebook is charged and ready to go for student learning from when it was sent home.
Send the chromebook and charger back to school the following school day!
Complete lessons/work that is provided so teachers will be able to compile work samples.
Maintain up to date contact information (email, phone, etc) with the school via Katie Ashbaugh in our front office.
Teacher Expectations:
Ensure that you have two way communication with students or parents between the hours of 9:10am - 3:50pm (email, thrillshare, Zoom/Google Meet, etc)
Students with meet with their homeroom teachers (for a short time) during a normal school day; however, it is not expected that they will be online for the entirety of time.
Ensure that chromebooks & chargers go home with students.
Provide instruction in various forms to students and provide feedback on the work completed.
Compile work samples from the NTI student work.
Complete the Google Form provided by DPP for student participation by 3:50pm each NTI day.
