Wizard of Oz Tryouts!

When: Nov. 13th and 16th from 4-6pm!

It is that time again! Students are auditioning for our spring Dinner Theater. Students may audition on Nov. 13th OR Nov. 16th from 4-6pm. Students do not attend both dates. Students must have a permission slip to stay for auditions and play practice. Extra permission slips are available in the front office. Staff will bring students to the pick up line following auditions (and later following practice). The play cast will be posted (for students) outside the Yellow Pod on Nov. 17th at 8:30am. Play practice is Mondays and Thursdays 4-5:30pm beginning Nov. 20th (only when school is in session). The Dinner Theater is tentatively scheduled for April 19th. Doors open at 6pm. Any parents interested in helping with set design, costumes, etc. - reach out to Ms. Contreras!

Parent Involvement Mtg. to Establish PTA!

When: Nov. 28th from 4:30 to 5:30pm! Due date was removed due to having no nominations. 

Roby Elementary is looking for enthusiastic parents, teachers, and members of the community who would be willing to join the PTA Program for our school. Joining the PTA will NOT be taxing or too time consuming. We understand each of you have jobs and families and we are willing to do our best to work around schedules. Our goal for the program is to be able to  assist with more fundraising and activities that will provide better opportunities to our kids and community.  It takes a village and if everyone does a little no one has to do a lot. Lets all come together in support of the betterment and growth of our school and our children.

Special SBDM Parent Rep Nomination Notice

• I hope you’ll consider running for our school council or encourage a friend to do so! In Kentucky, each school has a School Based Decision Making (SBDM) council composed of the principal, elected teachers, and elected parents. The council is in charge of making many of the most important decisions about how the school operates and supports student achievement. The council is a wonderful chance to learn about our school, work closely with teachers, and help make our school even more successful than it is now.

• Parents elect the 2 parent members of the council who will receive training and serve now through June 2024. However, we are holding a special election for a minority parent representative. This is required by law when a school has greater than 8% minority student population.

• Nominations for a minority parent representative are due via THIS FORM. Once we have nominations, the election will be held at Roby Elementary on a TBD date.

• Our SBDM council meets once monthly on a Tuesday from 4:30-5:30pm

Chromebook Fees

• Chromebook fees must be paid for students to use chromebooks both at school AND are required for students to take these home. If you have a financial need, you may request a fee waiver from your child's teacher or our FRC, Mekayla.Belcher@bullitt.kyschools.us. If the fee waiver is approved, you are not responsible for paying any fees for chromebooks or field trips but must stay in communication with your child's teacher or our FRC when these are due.

• NTI days are very likely due to our last day of school and when graduation might fall. For NTI days to count, our school must meet a minimum attendance (participation) goal. Students will be required to take their chromebooks home when weather, illness, or other events increase our chance of NTI the following day(s). Chromebook fees must be paid for students to take these home.
