The CITL will conduct a training session titled “Enhancing Teaching Efficiency with AI: An Introduction to Brisk” on March 26, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This initiative aims to equip faculty members with knowledge of Brisk, an AI-powered tool that supports lesson planning, student feedback, and instructional material creation. With the increasing integration of artificial intelligence in education, this training will offer instructors an opportunity to explore Brisk’s functionalities and assess its potential applications in their teaching practice. By leveraging AI within commonly used platforms such as Google Docs, Slides, PDFs, and YouTube, Brisk can help streamline educators’ workflow and enhance student engagement. This session will be highly beneficial for our faculty, providing them with insights into AI-driven teaching strategies and tools. Rationale

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in education is transforming how instructors manage their workload and engage with students. To support university faculty in exploring AI-driven teaching tools, this training introduces Brisk, a Google Chrome extension that integrates AI into commonly used platforms such as Google Docs, Slides, PDFs, and YouTube. Brisk is designed to assist with tasks like generating student feedback, differentiating resources, and creating instructional materials. This session will provide instructors with an opportunity to explore the tool’s functionalities and consider its potential applications in their teaching practices.

Objectives

At the end of the training, the participants are expected to:

Discuss the Role of AI in Education – Discuss the benefits and challenges of using AI-powered tools in teaching.
Explore the Features of Brisk – Identify the key functions of Brisk and how it integrates with existing educational platforms.
