The Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning is conducting a Virtual Orientation on the SIAS Learning Management System (LMS) on August 6, 2025 (Wednesday), from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN via Zoom. This initiative aims to strengthen our digital learning environment and ensure that both faculty and students are engaged in a consistent and centralized platform for instructional delivery.
To ensure a streamlined and effective implementation of the SIAS Learning Management System (LMS) for the First Semester of Academic Year 2025–2026, it is essential to provide faculty members with the necessary orientation and training. The SIAS LMS has undergone multiple test runs involving university technology integrators and selected faculty from the College of Technologies, yielding positive feedback and system readiness. With the directive from the Vice President for Academic Affairs to adopt the SIAS LMS as the official platform for at least one subject per faculty member, the virtual orientation aims to equip teaching personnel with the foundational knowledge and practical skills needed to navigate and utilize the system efficiently. This initiative supports the university’s ongoing commitment to flexible, technology-integrated learning and a consistent digital learning environment.
introduce the features and functions of the SIAS Learning Management System as the official LMS of the university.
provide hands-on guidance on navigating and managing course content, assessments, and communication tools within the LMS.
ensure faculty readiness for the system’s implementation by addressing common concerns and technical support mechanisms.
faculty members will demonstrate basic proficiency in using the SIAS LMS for managing at least one subject in their course load.
faculty will gain confidence and readiness to implement the LMS as a central platform for instructional delivery in the upcoming semester.
