STUDENT spotlightS

6th grade:

gabbi

 By Vivianna Cruz-Vargas

So as you may know, we have Student Spotlights and I, Viviana Cruz have had the honors of interviewing this month's 6th grade Spotlight…

Gabbi Mosquera

Congrats!!!

In my interview, I was able to collect information about her and I'm really excited to share it. But first, I would like to share why she was nominated.

A teacher said, "Gabriella should be celebrated because she is independent and takes complete ownership of her learning. She is always sweet, kind, and a helper to teachers and fellow students. Though not the loudest in the group, she is an active learner and she is highly motivated to learn and grow."

Another teacher added that, "Gabbi is a dedicated and hardworking student. She regularly asks for additional practice so that she can keep improving her math skills. Gabbi has a high standard for the work she does and is always pushing herself to be a stronger mathematician and student in general. Gabbi is also very kind, funny, and loves to share her knowledge and support her friends in class when they don't understand something. Yay, Gabbi!"

Leandro

By Kimberly Nazario Markus

Unfortunately, we could not get ahold of Leandro to interview them.

However, Leandro had been nominated for the 7th grade Spotlight by teachers who said he, "Consistently willingly supports his peers in advisory and in his co-hort. I have seen him be a quiet leader in class leading by example and helping students such as Mohamed by translating questions that he was struggling with."

Shout out to you, Leandro! Keep being your amazing self.
