UPS accounts will remain active until IDS requests that UPS close the account. There should not be any lost claims.

Claims for damaged or missing contents: no later than 60 calendar days from the shipment date.
Claims for undelivered or lost shipments: must be filed within nine months of the shipment date.
The shipper should file the claim with FedEx.
What information do I need when filing a claim?
Every package is auto-insured for $100. If your contents are worth more than $100 then you should add the additional insurance as you create a label. IDS pays for the additional insurance.
