School Sites
The Bering Strait School District spans over 15 different communities around Norton Sound and the Chukchi Sea. To see current projects and efforts in the arts at each school, click on the site name from the scroll down menu.
Each school in BSSD has an Art Liaison, who helps to:
-Support K-12 instructional staff with art integration strategies & art materials
-Support Itinerant Art teacher, Robin Child, during site visits
-Share resources, like Project ARTiculate kits (Alaska-specific Art Integration lessons) and Gigapan/Object Animation kits, with staff
-Gather student work to be submitted for BSSD Online Art Show and other art shows
-Serve as a contact for visiting artists that visit through the Artist-in-Schools program
