Have students trace repeating shapes onto paper & turn into a creative design with markers.
Have students work in pairs to measure ratios (see handout) and proportions of their bodies to find out if they are "divinely proportionate" !
Use knowledge gained from the measuring activity to create a piece of artwork that is inspired by Fibonacci!
Compositions made with golden spirals and rectangles, Teller.

Have students create their own shapes to assign to each place value instead of varying the size of one single shape, distinguishing place value by giving each triangle its unique color or texture.
Students could create their own abstract pieces by themselves, or they could collaboratively decide which place value gets which shape and color/texture etc and they could create a big class collage of numbers...
Use some different types of shapes or objects, so that the number becomes more of a story or illustration!
