This is an introductory session on FGM starting with what FGM is, why it happens and its effect on women and girls. This session will also look at the law and statutory guidance on FGM. We aim to accommodate students from education, health and social care backgrounds and explain how this session is relevant to your field of study. This session is factual with up-to-date statistics and will explore case studies and indicators.
