Our Partner: Time of the Month (TOTM)
Oxford Brookes University and its Student Union have joined forces with TOTM (Time of the Month) to distribute sustainable period products across the university's campuses. Committed to promoting environmental sustainability and ensuring accessibility, staff and students can now access organic cotton applicator tampons (Regular) and organic cotton pads (Super) at no cost. These essential resources are conveniently mapped out on the OBU Menstrual Equity Map, empowering individuals to easily locate and access the products they need to manage their period.

Plastic-free periods
4.3 billion disposable menstrual products are used in the UK every year.
2 billion menstrual products are flushed down Britain’s toilets, contaminating our beaches.
A ‘conventional’ menstrual pad is 90% plastic and contains around the same amount of plastic as four carrier bags.
Depending on where menstrual pads end up, they could have a longer lifespan than the person who uses them!
About the products
About the products
The products are supplied by Time of the Month (TOTM), a certified B Corporation whose ethos fits well with the University’s commitment to sustainability.
The ethical and sustainable period care products are:
Made with certified organic cotton - grown without toxic, synthetic pesticides and using sustainable farming methods. Organic cotton also produces fewer greenhouse gases and uses less water and energy.
Designed to reduce waste, with no plastic packaging or applicators - to help reduce the 200,000 tonnes of waste generated every year by menstrual products in the UK.
Trademarked vegan - free from animal ingredients since 1990.
TOTM also supports charities such as Endometriosis UK and In Kind Direct, which deliver essential products to those in need.
