Joining a new school can be a daunting process, but do not worry we will be with you every step of the way to help you out as much as you need!
Before your child's first day with us, there are a few things that need to be done to help everything run smoothly. Check these out below, and be sure to reach out to us if you are having trouble with anything!
Look out for our email to fill out our quick and easy registration form, which takes just 5-10 minutes, ensures we meet state requirements and allows our teachers to understand your child's needs, interests, and background for a personalized learning experience.
This process helps maintain accurate records and ensures a smooth and organized start to school
A meet and greet with your school teacher before the first day helps your child feel more comfortable and reduces first-day jitters. It also allows parents to ask questions and share important information, fostering a strong home-school connection from the start.
After meeting your selected teacher, we'll confirm that your student is a good fit for Brilliant Microschools. We'll ask you to confirm your interest and then send you an Enrollment Letter via email.
After your teacher meet and greet, we'll charge your payment method with your first month's tuition. After this, the tuition will be taken on the 1st of the month using your chosen payment card.
A reminder: Your next renewal will always be on the 1st of the month, even if your child starts school at the middle or end of the month. The second month's tuition payment will be adjusted based on when your child started school in their first month. For example; If they joined halfway through the first month, you'll pay half the usual amount for the second month.
After receiving your First Tuition Payment and Registration Form we will reach out to schedule a parent onboarding meeting (POM) with our School Onboarding team, before your child's first day.
During the meeting, we'll guide you through the final steps of the onboarding process, share tips on preparing your child for success, and assist with any administrative questions you may have.
During your POM, a member of the parent support team will offer to schedule a student onboarding meeting. This is a 25-minute one-off session to introduce your child to basic online skills for virtual learning and help them feel their most confident going into the first day!
This is required for new elementary students, but is available to all students, no matter how long they have been with us. Just reach out, and we'll be more than happy to help out!
One of the most important things to look at before starting with us is to familiarise yourself with the home school requirements for your state, as they are all different.
