This page outlines the overall alpine programming offered by BSF including pre-season dryland, additional training camps and the race season overview.
Dryland training
Summer dryland
What: Alpine and Nordic athletes train together to maintain and build their fitness throughout the summer.
Who: U12 - U16 (ages 10-15) athletes
When: June-August, two days a week
Registration: Not included in regular program fees. This is additional training you must register separately for in SkiClubPro.
Fall dryland
What: A fun and encouraging environment to build alpine-specific fitness and strength while getting to know other athletes and coaches off the snow. Optional.
Who: All Devo and U14 athletes
When/where: September 15 - October 29, Mon, Wed, (+Thurs for U14 only): 4:15 - 5:45 at Bogert Park
Registration: Included with all devo and comp program fees
U16+ Dryland
What: Alpine athletes train together to maintain and build their fitness through the fall inclusive of Mountain Project workouts, speed, agility and strength.
Who: U16 - U21 athletes
When: Sep 15 - Nov 13 , 4 days a week: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, after school (time and location TBD)
Registration: Included in program fees

Goal and expectation setting
1:1:1
What: 1:1:1 session with parent, athlete and head coach to align on expectations and goal setting
Who: U14 - U21 (ages 12 - 20) athletes. If you are U12 and younger and want a 1:1, reach out to coach Bruno.
When: Fall, during dryland season. Coaches will send out scheduling requests.
Age group, goal- and expectation-setting workshop
What: Build connection with teammates through a workshop to discuss goals and expectations at a team level.
Who: U14, U16+ separately
When: U16: first day of dryland, U14: TBA
Early-season training
Thanksgiving camp at Big Sky
What: Held at Big Sky, this is the earliest opportunity be on snow and get into gates.
Who: All athletes
When: November 15 - 20
Registration: Not included in regular program fees. This is additional training you must register separately for in SkiClubPro.
Van transportation will be available. Look for details in regular weekly communication.
Early season training at Big Sky
What: Held at Big Sky, athletes will work on foundational skills with drills and directed freeskiing
Who: All athletes
When: Early December until Bridger is open. Check regular comms and training schedule for details.
Registration: Included for all Devo and Comp athletes
Holiday training at Bridger
What: Bridger bowl training offering skill progression through drills and in gates. There are two sessions available.
Who: All athletes
When: Holiday training days are: 12/20 - 12/22 and 12/27 - 12/31
Registration: No separate registration required for 2025/2026! Included for all Devo and Comp athletes
Race season
YSL, USSS, and FIS races
What: Regular season races listed on here as well as on the Northern Division site.
Who: All athletes
When: Regular season races begin in December for U14+ athletes and in January for Devo. See calendar for dates.
Registration: Each race requires registration on AdminSkiRacing. Cost for each race day varies but averages $35/event. Additional BSF coach fees are applicable for non-local races where travel and ticket purchase is required to be billed through SkiClubPro
Speed camps
What: Camps that offer skill progression and development for speed events (Super G and Downhill)
Who: Age-specific camps offered to Devo, U14 and U16 athletes
When: Camps are offered during the regular race season. For older athletes, the camp will culminate with a race. View the calendar for dates.
Registration: Each event requires registration. See announcements for registration instructions. Sometimes, additional BSF coach fees will be billed via SkiClubPro for Speed Camps where travel and ticket purchase is required.
Championship events
What: End-of-season, multi-event series to cap off the season. For U14 and older, these events inclusive of other regions (Intermountain, PNW, Alaska, etc)
Who: Each age group has their own championship series, Devo, U14 and U16. All Devo athletes are invited to participate in the YSL championship event. U14 and U16 athletes much qualify in order to participate. Qualification information will be available on the Northern Division website.
When: March. See calendar for details.
Registration: Each event requires registration on AdminSkiRacing. Cost for each race day varies but averages $35/event. Additional BSF coach fees are billed via SkiClubPro for non-local races where travel and ticket purchase is required.
Post-season
End-of-year party
What: A fun all-team celebration of the season where athletes, coaches and volunteers are acknowledged for their dedication, effort and community support.
Who: All athletes and their families
When: April - Date TBA.
Mount hood summer training camp
What: Athletes continue to develop skills alongside teammates and other athletes from Northern Division at Timberline on Mount Hood.
Who: U12 are invited to join as a day camp. Camp for U14 and older includes travel, lodging and food.
When: June, dates TBA
Registration: Not included in regular program fees. Register for camp in SkiClubPro.
