Bridgeable partnered with CommuniVax and the UMD Center for Health Equity to learn how we might help local teams sustain the gains in community-driven planning and health equity made during the COVID vaccine response by conducting a retrospective community co-creation workshop. In our pilot workshop, we aimed to confirm the most significant gaps and enablers in the local health systems and prioritize impactful and culturally-tailored enablers or initiatives in order to leverage and extend the gains in health equity to develop recommendations for the next phase of the pandemic and beyond COVID to address other underlying community health issues.

This work was done in partnership with CommuniVax and the UMD Center for Health Equity (M-CHE), located at the center within the School of Public Health, the University of Maryland in College Park. We worked directly with community members in Prince George’s County to iterate this toolkit and its workshop materials for flexible, repeatable community engagement workshops.
