The High Reliability Schools (HRS) level 1 survey measures 8 factors that assess a school's culture to determine the degree to which individuals agree, or disagree, with statements on a 5 point Likert scale (5 = Strongly Agree, 1 = Strongly Disagree).
The HRS level 1 survey was administered once in the 2016-17 academic year to four different stakeholder groups: administrators, faculty, students and parents. Results informed multiple initiatives during the remainder of the 16-17 academic year, continuing to present day.
In the 2018-19 academic year the HRS level 1 survey was re-administered to assess progress. The average increase across those 8 factors from 2016-17 to 2018-19 was .19 points on the 5 point Likert scale. Highlights are presented below.

The High Reliability Schools (HRS) level 2 survey measures 6 factors that assess a school's capacity for effective teaching in every classroom to determine the degree to which individuals agree, or disagree, with statements on a 5 point Likert scale (5 = Strongly Agree, 1 = Strongly Disagree).
The HRS level 2 survey has been administered to BHS educators twice: once during 2016-17, again during 2018-19.
Results from the 2018-19 academic year indicate the global average response was 3.6 on the 5 point Likert scale. This means most of those surveyed agreed with the positively worded statements assessing BHS instructional practices and support as effective. Highlights are presented below.
Most Educators agreed that BHS has a Clear Vision of Effective Instructional Practices both in the 2016-17 academic year (3.69 average) and in 2018-19 (3.81 average), an increase of .12 points.
Most Educators agreed that BHS Educators receive continuous Support to Improve Instruction both in the 2016-17 academic year (3.55 average) and in 2018-19 (3.66 average), an increase of .11 points.
The HRS Survey addresses two components of an established Clear Vision of Effective Instructional Practices: A Shared Understanding across Stakeholders and Administrative Communication.
Survey results both in 2016-17 and 2018-19 indicate that most educators feel BHS has a shared understanding of Effective Instructional Practices (2016-17 = 3.74; 2018-19 = 3.84).
Survey results also indicate that most educators feel BHS Administrators effectively communicate how Instruction should be addressed (2016-17 = 3.63; 2018-19 = 3.77).
2016-17 survey results indicated that more often than not BHS educators agreed with the positively worded statements addressing each continuous support indicator:
Educators receive job-embedded PD directly related to growth goals: 3.26
Teacher evaluations are clear, ongoing, & based on multiple data sources: 3.18
Teachers have opportunities to observe and discuss effective teaching: 3.04
Efforts made to address each of these indicators resulted in an average increase of .22 on the 2018-19 survey.
