BHS administers the MAP assessment to Freshman (9th Grade) and Sophomores (10th Grade) once in Fall and once in the Spring.
MAP data is presented in two ways:
1. Average Spring Percentile Rank
10th Grade Students score, on average, in the 49th percentile.
9th Grade Students score, on average, in the 58th percentile.
These results indicate that on average BHS students score near or above the national average on MAP Reading.
10th Grade Students score, on average, in the 56th percentile.
9th Grade Students score, on average, in the 68th percentile.
These results indicate that on average BHS students score above the national average on MAP Reading.
10th Grade Students score, on average, in the 79th percentile.
9th Grade Students score, on average, in the 67th percentile.
These results indicate that on average BHS students score above the national average on MAP Math.
2. Average Fall->Spring Percentile Rank Gain
10th Grade Students decrease, on average, 17 percentile rank points from fall to spring on MAP Reading.
9th Grade Students increase, on average, 1.3 percentile rank points from fall to spring on MAP Reading.
These results indicate that on average BHS students increase their relative standing from Fall to Spring in the 9th Grade and decrease their relative standing in 10th Grade.
10th Grade Students decrease, on average, 12 percentile rank points from fall to spring on MAP Language.
9th Grade Students increase, on average, 10 percentile rank points from fall to spring on MAP Language.
These results indicate that on average BHS students increase their relative standing from Fall to Spring in the 9th Grade and decrease their relative standing in 10th Grade.
10th Grade Students increase, on average, 3 percentile rank points from fall to spring on MAP Math.
9th Grade Students decrease, on average, 4 percentile rank points from fall to spring on MAP Math.
These results indicate that on average BHS students slightly decrease their relative standing from Fall to Spring in 9th Grade and increase their relative standing in 10th Grade
In accordance with Nebraska State Statute 79-760, all Beatrice High School juniors take the ACT Test.
