The mission of Beatrice High School is to guarantee all students will meet or exceed their individual goals and exhibit responsible citizenship.
Core Values and Beliefs
BHS curriculum is flexible, rigorous and standards-based with focus on career/college readiness.
BHS instruction takes a diversified, differentiated approach and occurs in interactive classrooms. Teachers are motivated and passionate, plan for student collaboration and utilize data to make instructional decisions that benefit students.
BHS assessments are constant, differentiated, standards-based and utilize both formative and summative assessments. We work to maintain instructional agility, provide timely feedback, and emphasize real world situations. We expect to move students to be producers of information instead of consumers and accomplish their individual goals.
BHS strives to create a learning environment that reflects the characteristics of respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and trustworthiness. We work to educate students to the aspects of responsible citizenship and understand that students learn best when they’re in a safe environment.
