The High Reliability Schools (HRS) level 1 survey measures 8 factors that assess a school's culture to determine the degree to which individuals agree, or disagree, with statements on a 5 point Likert scale (5 = Strongly Agree, 1 = Strongly Disagree).
The HRS level 1 survey was administered once in the 2016-17 academic year to three different Beatrice Elementary Schools (BES) stakeholder groups: faculty, students and parents. Results informed multiple initiatives during the remainder of the 16-17 academic year, continuing to present day.
In the 2018-19 academic year the HRS level 1 survey was re-administered to assess progress. Stakeholders overwhelmingly agreed with the positively worded statements (global average across stakeholder groups and indicators: 4.09). Addressing the efficacy of ongoing initiatives, the average increase across those 8 factors from 2016-17 to 2018-19 was .28 points on the 5 point Likert scale. Highlights are presented below.

The High Reliability Schools (HRS) level 2 survey measures 6 factors that assess a school's capacity for effective teaching in every classroom to determine the degree to which individuals agree, or disagree, with statements on a 5 point Likert scale (5 = Strongly Agree, 1 = Strongly Disagree).
The HRS level 2 survey has been administered to BES educators twice: once during 2016-17, again during 2018-19.
Results from the 2018-19 academic year indicate the global average response was 4.06 on the 5 point Likert scale. This means most of those surveyed agreed with the positively worded statements assessing BES instructional practices and support as effective. Highlights are presented below.
Educators & Administrators strongly agreed that BES has a Clear Vision of Effective Instructional Practices both in the 2016-17 academic year (4.24 average) and in 2018-19 (4.31 average).
Educators & Administrators strongly agreed that BES educators receive continuous Support to Improve Instruction both in 2016-17 (4.31 average) and in 2018-19 (4.10 average).
The HRS Survey addresses two components of an established Clear Vision of Effective Instructional Practices: A Shared Understanding across Stakeholders and Administrative Communication.
2018-19 survey results indicate that educators (4.00) and administrators (4.52) agree that BES has a shared understanding of Effective Instructional Practices.
2018-19 survey results also indicate that educators (4.15) and administrators (4.57) strongly agree that BES Administrators effectively communicate how Instruction should be addressed.
The HRS Survey addresses three components of Continuous Support to Improve Instruction: job-embedded PD, opportunities to observe & discuss effective instruction, and high quality teacher evaluations.
2018-19 survey results indicate that most educators (3.78) and administrators (3.93) feel BES Educators receive job-embedded PD directly related to growth goals.
2018-19 survey results also indicate that most educators (3.56) and administrators (4.04) feel BES teachers have opportunities to observe and discuss effective teaching.
Finally, 2018-19 survey results indicate that most educators (3.88) and administrators (4.11) feel teacher evaluations are clear, ongoing, & based on multiple data sources
