United States

The second nine weeks is spent almost entirely on the United States of America. We focus heavily on mastering all the States and their Capitals. We also focus on the various regions of the United States and the differences and similarities between them. We talk about the population, resources, and economy of each region. The second nine weeks is also when we have our largest project of the year, The State Project. Each student spends over a month researching a state and creating a display board which they present after Thanksgiving. Below are various assignments and resource materials for the United States.
