Mexico

We begin the second semester, third nine weeks, with Mexico. Mexico is similar to the United States in a few ways but has many differences as well. Mexico is where really begin to look at other cultures because of their different traits. We also start to examine the ancient civilizations of Mexico and northern Central America (Aztec, Maya, Olmec). This leads us into Spanish exploration and conquistadors in the new world, which plays a heavy part in influencing the cultural traits we see throughout the rest of the semester.
