Playworks

Playworks is a national 501(c)3 nonprofit respected for their evidence-informed services and strategic approach to scale.They serve 3.5 million students in 7,000 schools by helping them experience safe and healthy play every day.

Handel + Haydn Society

Boston School Partnerships bring H+H teaching artists to elementary schools that otherwise would not have access to music instruction. Weekly in-school music classes allow students to build their musical skills while fostering their creativity and self-expression.



Edgerley Family South Boston Club

The dedicated staff and comprehensive programs offered at the Boys & Girls Club help to expand children’s horizons by exposing them to technology, the arts, math and more. The club prioritizes social-emotional development, resilience, kindness and positive self-identity, and It Is located a short walk away from our school.


Tierney Learning Center

The Tierney Learning Center's mission Is to address the educational, employment, financial stability, and health & wellness goals of low-income families in South Boston. They provide a safe, caring, and welcoming environment with an array of programming geared towards improving the wellbeing of individuals and families in our community. An added perk Is that the building Is located across the street from Perkins, making It easily accessible and a familiar place for our students and families.

The Home for Little Wanderers

The Home for Little Wanderers helps build stable lives and hopeful futures for children who are abused, neglected or at-risk. We ensure their emotional, social, educational and physical well- being from birth to age 26 through a dedicated team of professionals and a wide range of critical services. As a result, disadvantaged kids have safe surroundings, loving relationships and a secure path toward tomorrow.




MassStart- Wediko

MassStart, a program offered through Wediko Children's Services and BPS, Is a strengths-based youth enrichment and development program. Entering It's eight year at the MJP, the goal of the program Is to support children's academic and social success and to prevent future substance abuse and violence.
