Ms. Campbell-Allen

Hello students and families. My name is Coleen Campbell-Allen and it is with much honor and excitement that I continue to serve as a 12th grade English teacher at Burke High. I graduated from St. John’s University with a MA in Special Education. Prior to teaching in BPS, I worked at Queens and York Colleges/CUNY as an adjunct and in the New York City Public School District as a learning specialist.

One of my goals this year is to build and maintain meaningful relationships with my students and their families which will positively impact my students' mental, social and academic growth. I look forward to sharing stories about my Jamaican heritage and travel experiences and learning about my students' diverse cultural backgrounds.

As we navigate this school year, I want us to all remember that it's about the journey and not just the destination. I look forward to working with you all.
