Hello!
I'm a native Southern Californian, and attended UC Santa Barbara for my Bachelor's Degree and San Francisco State for my Master's in Creative Writing. Later as a part of the New York City Teaching Fellows, I received a second Master's degree in Teaching from Pace University in New York City.
I've been teaching English and writing for over 20 years. I've taught creative writing, playwriting, and AP Language. I love language and what young people do with it. This is my fourteenth year in the BPS, and my eleventh at the Burke. Before that I taught in the NYC schools in Brooklyn, and in a private collegiate course for ESL students in Boston. This year I'll be teaching AP Literature, Sophomore ELA, and ESL.
When I'm not teaching, in person or virtually, I love to be outdoors, especially on or near the water.
