Boston Public Schools now has a district license for the Defined Learning Platform. Students can access the platform through Clever, and teachers can log-in through Google using their BPS email. The platform was designed to provide students Project Based Learning through inquiry, while learning about STEM professions. The Defined Learning Platform has two Professional Development opportunities for BEES teachers: PBL with Jay McTighe & Introduction to Defined Learning Platform. Below you will find a description of each professional learning opportunity, as well as directions and links to sign up. Enjoy!

The PBL pd is a 4 hour asynchronous course composed of four modules that can be completed at your own pace. The pd can be found on the Defined Learning platform and was created and features Jay McTighe, co-author of "Understanding by Design". There are 4 modules to be completed:

Real World Projects
Assessing Student Learning
Portfolio to Advance Future Readiness
Upon completion, educators should take a screen shot of their completion and upload it to TeachPoint. Once complete, the educator will earn 4 hrs of pd time.
