Content Course - Tufts

The BEES Initiative will be offering two content courses: one for classroom teachers K-5 and one for science specialists and 6th grade teachers. The courses are being offered through Tufts and will run from fall to summer. Participants will have the option of receiving 3 graduate credits upon completion of the course, paid for by the GE grant.

The course designed for classroom teachers will feature Earth & Space Science, Engineering, the MA STE content standards to be implemented this year by the teachers. The course for science specialists and 6th grade teachers will incorporate all four of the MA STE subject areas Earth & Space Science, Life Science, Engineering & Technology, & Physical Science. Both courses will require participants to complete informal assessments throughout the course and a formal summative project at the end.
