During this time of different social rules, we are more aware of our space around each other. As we hunker down in our homes, it is still very important to maintain a social network of family and friends These connections make you healthier and provide support in stressful times. What can you still do to stay connected with your family and friends?
Help Elderly Family/Friend/Neighbor (ex: get groceries, yard clean up)
Enjoy outdoor activities (ex: hike, birdwatch, gardening, have a picnic, go stargazing, ride a bike, etc.)
Check in with a relative (ex: video chat, text, or write a letter)
Play board games at home
Start an online book club
Teach your friends a new skill (ex: dance routine or card trick through video chat)
BE VERY CAREFUL! Practice proper hygiene and be certain to maintain social distance from others.
Also only engage in activities you feel safe in accomplishing and with your family’s permission.
