Haughton High School's Air Force JROTC is a citizenship program, not a military recruitment program. It's purpose for over 40 years is to develop young men and women to be effective leaders and more responsible citizens in our community and to prepare them to be successful in whatever profession or career path they may choose to pursue.

To empower Haughton High School's cadet's to dream, aspire, plan, act and achieve lofty team and individual goals for their corps, school and community
Our Mission:
Volunteer to support the LA-801st AFJROTC Citizenship Program
Our Objectives:
Enhance instructor and cadet efforts by supporting JROTC activities and events
Support family's own cadet sons or daughters in person at events and/or activities, such as CIA trips, cadet hangout nights, parties, competitions,...etc
Provide talent, skills, creativity, and/or time as a volunteer planner and/or worker
Cheer the cadets efforts and accomplishments
Help raise funds to:
a. Defray the costs of registration, food and transportation expenses
b. Provide scholarship opportunities
Information:
Parents and alumni meet the third Thursday of every month, with alternating meeting between the HHS JROTC large classroom and an offsite location, such as Johnnies, Subway...etc

Involvement possibilities are endless when it comes to supporting your cadet, but here are a just few:

LA-801st hosted summer camps
New clothing, such as spirit shirts, polo shirts, sweat shirts, pullovers, windbreakers, team shirts...etc
Camaraderie develops between our cadets, a shared bond with a focus on developing team unity. The same holds true for our parents and alumni. Our cadets have a long and proud tradition. So do our parents and alumni. Our parents share in the success of the program. We wish you an awesome Bucs and Blue experience!
