HHS AFJROTC Camps

Enrolling in a leadership camp has many benefits for teenagers. Beyond just pure fun, summer leadership camps help build a number of personal skills and values that apply well beyond high school. Leadership camps benefit teens in many ways like developing personal accountability, develop ideals like coach, lead and follow, improve communication skills, resolve conflicts, set goals, motivate self and others and problem solve. 

We have camps that we sponsor, plan and execute that are JROTC specific and there are camps the are sponsored by other organizations that we nominate deserving cadets to attend:

JROTC Sponsored Camps our cadets attend:

• Bossier Parish Cadet Leadership Course (7 days/6 nights)

• Haughton High School Marksmanship Camp (2.5 days)

• Haughton High School Cyber Defense Camp (2 days)

Other Organizations' Sponsored Camps our cadets attend:

• Hugh O'Brian Leadership Seminar Louisiana (HOBY) (3 days/2 nights) in Hammond, LA

• Rotary Youth Leadership Award Camp (7 days/6 nights) in Dubach, LA

• American Legion National Flight Academy (6 days/5 nights) in Pensacola, FL

• American Legion's Louisiana Boy's State in Natchitoches, LA

• American Legion's Louisiana Girls State in Natchitoches, LA

• CMP Marksmanship Camp (6 days/5 nights) in Anniston, AL
