Cadet Leadership Course (CLC)

This will be the 50th Instance of Bossier Parish (BP) Cadet Leadership Course (CLC) which will be hosted during 29 May - 7 June 2025. This year the course will be held at Grambling State University (GSU) with basic flights attending from 1 – 7 June 2025. Cost for all basic and JCTO cadets will still be $200.00.  

     a. Basic Course Participants. will be limited to a total of 120 attendees. It will be an exciting, challenging and rewarding event that will mature and prepare your junior cadets to lead your cadet corps. Cadets will reap the benefits of a schedule that includes individual and team building activities such as water survival, obstacle course, confidence course, field events, small team and flight drill training and competition, PT, and much more. Additional activities may be added and subject to change.  

     b. Junior Cadet Training Officers. Applicants must have graduated from an AFJROTC CLC or sister service equivalent and be rising seniors. Graduating seniors who have signed enlistment paperwork or are CAP members may also apply.  Selected JCTOs must arrive early, as part of the ADVON on Thursday, 29 May 25 so they prepare with fellow JCTOs, college CTOs and key staff. JCTO application due is TBD.  

     c. Advance Course Participants/JCTOs In-Training.  This is only the second year this course is being held.  It will be a hybrid of some basic events, some JCTO training and some new material.   Applicants must have graduated from an AFJROTC CLC or sister service equivalent and be rising juniors.  Selected advanced course cadets must arrive early, as part of the ADVON on Saturday, 31 May 25 so they can prepare with JCTOs, college CTOs and key staff.  Only 20 - 24 cadets will be selected.  The advanced course will not be a requirement for selection as a JCTO the next year.  Additional activities may be added and subject to change.

     d. The week is topped-off with a parade and awards ceremony to recognize those who excel and all who graduate.
