In 2018, Mr. Dunlap started a Video Club to teach video skills to our students but to also help create video content for our school's social media outlets. For the past two years, we have had a small army of videographers (third through 5th grade) producing, filming, and editing videos for our school. These students produce videos for fun but also fill requests from teachers for specific needs. They film assemblies and interview teachers and peers.
They also win contests. In the spring of 2019, two of our students took home Top Elementary Video honors at the Student Service Film Festival. You can see their Screen Time PSA below.
In the fall of 2019, five of our student videos were selected to go to the state finals for the PTA Reflections competition. We are still waiting to hear those results. You can see all five below.
