Christy Mihaly

In 2020, she sent us a very special gift, an advanced reader copy of her new book Free For You and Me. I read it to a group of 2nd graders and quickly realized... it's above their heads. At the time, my wife was teaching 4th grade in our school, so I passed it along to her. She read it to her class, and they loved it! They wrote a book commercial about it to help her promote it.

As the pandemic hit and everyone was sent home, Christy had a different problem. She was writing a book about the Supreme Court and wanted to talk to some 4th grade students to get their perspective. So, a new partnership arose. My wife, Celeste, and Christy started plotting and planning. Check out Christy's blog post about their collaboration here. When The Supreme Court and Us was published on March 1, 2022, we had a party in Mrs. Dunlap's room (now teaching 2nd grade). What an awesome experience for everyone involved!
