You can find answers to all of your questions on our BACS EXTERNAL LEARNING WEBSITE (things like volunteering, after school stuff, drivers ed, working papers, etc...). ALL STUDENTS: After you have completed ANY external learning experience (job shadow / internship / service-learning project / senior project / volunteering), PLEASE fill out this survey for our reporting! It only takes a minute! Thank you! STUDENT EXTERNAL LEARNING SURVEY (this can be filled out ALL SCHOOL YEAR!). This has also been made a Xello lesson!
Xello:
*In the 'Resource' Section on your Xello homepage, there are so many resources for job shadows, service-learning projects and our external learning website! Please use these tools to help with your projects!
SOPHOMORES: I've been receiving a lot of emails asking for job shadows, which is great. I just wanted to remind you that there is a process for this. Job shadows are mandatory for sophomores; however, we urge you to coordinate a job shadow on your own. See information here on how!
HOW TO CREATE A JOB SHADOW ON YOUR OWN and here is a slideshow presentation that I gave in the fall about the topic: HOW TO COORDINATE A JOB SHADOW ON YOUR OWN SLIDESHOW PREZI . If you have looked through these, gone through your Xello inventories and explored careers in Xello and STILL cannot coordinate one, then use this form. Fill it out, have your advisor sign it, then email me for an appointment. Bring your completed form with you to the appointment: EXTERNAL LEARNING REQUEST WITH RHONDA
JUNIORS: If you need help with your service-learning project, look at the lessons in Xello, there are all the tools and resources that we talked about in our SLP sessions. YOU need to do the work for your project!
