Hello Ms. Rhonda Hanaway,
My name is Chino Eke. I am one of the current leaders of the Pathways to Medicine program at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University along with Estelle Yoo, Jaison Nguyen, Joanne Liu, Jon Olansen, and Ryan Conard. Pathways is a free, fall semester program with 6 sessions designed to provide high school students with early exposure to medical careers such as medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and PA. The sessions are primarily on Saturdays, and in addition to the exposure to different healthcare careers, we teach students college application and interview skills, give them access to our clinical suites so they can practice medical interviewing and examining patients, and even give them a tour of our anatomy lab. Additionally, we provide 1:1 mentorship, shadowing/networking opportunities, and first aid training!
We are reaching out to share our new website (see below near our name), where you can find more details about our program. The applications will open on July 31st for anyone who would like to share with their students beforehand.
Lastly, please see our attached flier to share with your organization's teachers, students, and families.

Providence Students Interested in Law:
The Center for Indigenous Peoples Rights is actively seeking youth to participate in its inaugural Young Advocates Program (YAP).
Funded by the United Way of Rhode Island and sponsored by Times2 Academy, YAP will introduce participating youth to the legal profession by facilitating positive engagements with the law and justice system to encourage participating youth to consider the law as a viable career field.
YAP participants will meet twice per month and will be instructed in a comprehensive law curriculum, meet legal professionals, visit law related institutions, and attend and participate in related conferences and events. Most excitingly, YAP participants will participate in a Mock Trial to showcase the knowledge they've learned throughout the program.

Emergencies can happen anywhere, at any time. Have you thought about what you would do in an emergency?
Whether you are stuck in your car on the side of the road during a cold winter day or at home during a power outage that lasts for days
in the humid summer, a small-scale emergency can quickly become a full-scale disaster if you do not have a plan.
Thank you,
Kathy
