Top 10 Fall Movies

Trick or treat! We don’t have a trick for you, but we do have a treat! It's a spooky season, and we are all getting ready to cozy up with our blankets and watch the best fall movies. But what to watch? Don't worry... we got your back! Here are Horizon's students' top ten fall movie choices to watch this year!



Top 10 Fall Movies

In tenth place we have Casper the Friendly Ghost with a total of 4 votes! Do ghosts scare you? No need to worry- Casper is sure to put a smile on your face!



Up next in ninth place we have the one and only IT with 5 votes! Are you brave enough to watch IT? This one may leave you scared, unless scary movies are just your thing!



In seventh place we have Charlie Brown’s Thanksgiving with a whole 6 votes! Charlie Brown is a beloved character among many generations, and the Thanksgiving version is the perfect movie to watch with your family this fall season!



Now don't get too excited about that last one because tied with it we have Coraline with another 6 votes! Go on a journey with an adventurous young girl, Coraline, through a story of secrets and suspenseful moments!




And for number six we have a complete classic, The Addams Family with 8 votes! “They’re creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky. They’re all together ooky, The Addams Family!” Don’t forget the classic double snap to this tune when you're watching the beloved Addams Family!



Coming in at number five we have Hubie Halloween with 9 votes! A recent addition to Netflix, this movie has some of your favorite actors and actresses including Adam Sandler, Peyton List, Noah Schnapp, Maya Rudolph, and so many more! If you're looking for a mystery and a comedy, this movie is for you!



Hold on to your hats for number four- we have Halloween Town at 11 votes! Halloween Town is a classic Disney movie and loved by many. Will you love it too when you watch it?



And now get ready for number three because we have Halloween with 13 votes! If you love horror movies, Halloween is just right for you. You may want to prepare for some scenes that may leave you spooked!



Up next at number two we have The Nightmare Before Christmas with 29 votes! “This is Halloween, this is Halloween!” Another Disney favorite, The Nightmare Before Christmas has catchy songs that will get you singing along with Jack Skellington!



Coming in at number one with an outstanding 40 votes out of 184 people… Hocus Pocus! Clearly this is a favorite of many and may be your new favorite too!

Hocus Pocus

A classic family favorite, Hocus Pocus was made in 1993. This movie is about a teenager who moves to Salem, Massachusetts. Max, the teenager, explores an abandoned house. His new friend, Allison, shares an old story about 3 evil witches. Max then accidentally frees the 3 evil witches that once lived in the haunted house. Allison, Max, and his sister have a new need to steal the witches’ spell book in order to prevent them from becoming immortal and ruining their town!

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Jack Skellington, The Pumpkin King of Halloweentown, becomes bored with the usual routine of just frightening people. He then unintentionally finds himself in Christmas town where he makes a plan to kidnap Santa Claus. This town is a bright and happy place! Jack’s plan to have Christmas under his control may not go just exactly as he had planned.

Halloween

This movie is rated- R and may not be for you unless horror movies are what you love. When a young boy, Michael, murders someone at a young age, he is placed in jail for 15 years. On his release date, October 30th, he steals a car and escapes. He returns to his quiet hometown where he is looking for his next victims.



“I’ve only seen this movie once; however, I'm looking forward to watching it again this year. I really like scary movies and would recommend it to others who enjoy scary movies.”
