6th-grade musical

Tons of new talent has been discovered at the Horizon Middle School 6th-grade musical; here is what happened. One big question that people have is why the 6th graders have their own musical this year. Mrs. Stordalen, the director of the musical, was interviewed on why she chose to separate the 6th graders apart from the 7th and 8th graders. Mrs. Stordalen said.“We have so many students that would like to be involved in the spring musical, that we needed to do a separate musical for 6th graders to be able to include all of them. We also wanted to create an opportunity for 6th graders to get a start in theatre, with acting, dancing, and singing training geared for their age level.

She also said that her favorite part of working with the 6th graders was, “their willingness and energy to try something new.” and “seeing friendships start because of their shared interest in music.” as well as teaching the art of acting and singing to her students.

“The talent seen in the 6th graders is amazing and I'm excited to see them perform,” Mrs. Strodalen exclaimed. She encourages people who haven't been in the musical to try out and consider being a part of the future casts.

The immense talent that has been expressed during the musical is nothing short of amazing and I hope that you all had the opportunity to go and see the 6th graders musical “The Granny Awards" on the 8th and 7th of October.
