Installing ImBlaze > STEP 2
The following settings need to be enabled in the Salesforce org before installing ImBlaze. These settings are required for the installation and proper functioning of ImBlaze.
ImBlaze is built as a Salesforce experience community site and hence requires the org to have Customer Community Salesforce licenses. All ImBlaze users require their own distinct community licenses. Therefore, it is important to ensure that you have sufficient Customer Community licenses available for allocation.
To verify this:
Go to Setup
Search for Company Information in the Quick Find Box
Scroll Down to User Licenses section
Verify the list to see Customer Community Licenses and the number of licenses available
ImBlaze captures notes on internships and visits as Salesforce notes. To enable/verify if notes are enabled in the org :
Click on Setup
Search Notes in Quick Find box.
Within Sales, select Note Settings
Enable Note Settings
The State and Country Picklist feature in Salesforce allows users to select states and countries from predefined, standardized lists instead of entering this data into text fields. This feature offers faster and easier data entry and ensures cleaner data. These picklists are available in the shipping, billing, mailing and "other" address fields in various standard objects. ImBlaze displays the options for countries and states in the opportunity creation form based on this configuration.
If State and Country Picklists are not already enabled in your org, please follow the Salesforce documentation to enable and configure the same. Please ensure that you are referring to the latest Salesforce documentation.
Organization–wide defaults specify the default level of access that users have to each other's records. You use organization–wide sharing settings to lock down your data to the most restrictive level, and then use the other sharing tools to selectively give access to other users.
Note - Data access to ImBlaze users are defined by Community Sharing Settings. The steps for this configuration are detailed under the section (Community Sharing Settings). Salesforce requires that the objects whose permissions are determined by the Community Sharing Settings have the Org-Wide default external access set to Private. Please ensure that the org-wide default external access is set to Private for both Account and Contact in your org - Learn more.
You might have to do adjustments to sharing rules if you have the org - wide default external access set to any other value for Accounts and Contacts.
