Issuance of Referral Letter

a. Students currently enrolled for the semester/summer and personnel of BU who need to use the resources of other libraries may be issued with referral letters free of charge.

b.    The requesting student/personnel must fill out a slip indicating their names, the institution she/she intends to visit, and the date when to visit.

c.     The librarian shall issue one (1) referral duly signed by the issuing librarian for every institution.

d.   The requesting student/personnel must sign in the logbook (External Incoming/Outgoing Communication from/to Other Agencies Including Referral Letters) upon receipt of the requested letter.

Admitting External Researchers (non-BU students & personnel)

A student/researcher from other schools or institutions or a BU student who is not enrolled in the current semester may be accommodated for on-site library research during Fridays and Saturdays, subject to the following conditions:

Requirements before entry:

a.  Valid ID

b. Referral letter from the school librarian/research adviser or teacher

c. BU student ID or old COR for BU students who are not currently enrolled 

c.  Confirmation message 

  We will only accommodate at most 100 external researchers at the University
