BU Gubat Library 

          Due to the continuous progress made with the Bicol University Gubat Extension Program (BUGEP), BUGEP was renamed in 1997 and is now known as the Bicol University Gubat Campus.

        Alongside the journey of the BU Gubat Campus is the colourful history of the BU Gubat Campus (BUGC) Library since its outset in October 1997.

        The BUGC Library was then located at the DPWH Building now called as the STO Building. The library started with meager resources, wherein only one table and three titles of national daily newspapers - the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Manila Bulletin & Philippine Star Ngayon were available. The scarcity felt changed when resources kept coming from local donors and abroad. At that time, Mrs. Lina Celosa served as the person in-charge of the library.

        To keep up with the growing collection and to better serve its clientele, the library was transferred in 2004 to its present location at the Centennial Building (formerly called the Supply Office & Speech Laboratory). Mrs. Lina Celosa, the Head librarian, is assisted by Mrs. Lani Escandor. A lot of improvement has taken place in the library since 2004 like having an Internet laboratory, fully-airconditioned rooms and including provision of computers and printers for the personnel. The information resources also tripled in quantity. All of these led to a more functional and student-friendly library. The transformation that took place is a product of the support of the Local Government Unit, administrators, and the Bicol University as a whole.
