ILS-High School Library
The birth of Albay High School could be traced to the year 1902 when the Albay Province opened its secondary school at Guinobatan, Albay in December with Mrs. C.J. Pearson as its principal. In 1905, Albay High School was transferred to a new building in front of the new Camp Bagong Ibalon. When Bicol University was established from the old Albay Normal High School, among its provisions was the conversion of the different units that comprise Bicol University. As a result, Albay High School became known as Bicol University High School. The name of the school further went transformation from Bicol University College of Education Laboratory High School (BUCELHS) to its present name of Bicol University College of Education Integrated Laboratory - High School Department (BUCEILS-HS) located at the Gabaldon Building where the Albay High School was originally housed. BUCEILS-HS has become an integral part of Bicol University College of Education for the training and practice teaching of students in a secondary education course.
The ILS-High School Library is located strategically at the forefront of the Gabaldon building and was headed by the following librarians: Ms. Rosalina Santiago, Ms. Carmen Barrios, Mrs. Sonia Peralta and Mrs. Corazon G. Salomon.
