City of Milwaukee officials have recommended for anyone residing in the City of Milwaukee over the age of 14 to apply for a Municipal ID if they do not have another valid form of identification here in the United States.
The police department is required to accept this as a valid form of identification.
Important things to remember:
Your ID CANNOT be used to vote in Wisconsin.
You must be 14 years or older to apply. (Those under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.)
Your ID will expire in 5 years.
You must notify the License Division within 10 days if your address changes or if your ID is lost or stolen. (There is a $5 replacement fee.)
