Jean M. Coon Humanitarian Award Application

The Zonta Club of Albany offers an exceptional opportunity to recognize students who excel in community service. The Jean M. Coon Humanitarian Award is given to a student whose outstanding community service goes beyond what is required and has a positive impact on the community. Academic achievement is not a factor in selecting the award recipient.

Applications are sought from Capital Area high schools. Applicants must be high school juniors or seniors. The Albany Club of Albany presents a certificate and a monetary award of $2,000 to the winning applicant in the spring.

The club winner’s application becomes a finalist for the Zonta District 2 Jean M. Coon Award, which includes both a certificate and a monetary award. This award is announced in June.
