Scholarship Criteria
Alfred University has always been considered "Outside of Ordinary." Not only were we one of the first higher education institutions in the United States to admit women into programs where they took courses alongside men, but our commitment to inclusivity continues to be part of our mission to this day. Life at AU is far from ordinary and we invite you to introduce one of your extraordinary students to what we can offer.
The selected recipient will receive $30,000 per year (or $18,000 per year for NY State students attending our Art & Design or Materials Engineering programs receiving SUNY support) while attending AU.Â
Scholarship Qualifications:
- Student must have achieved an overall 3.0 GPA, or equivalent, at the time of nomination.
- We recommend nominating a student who would be interested in programs offered by Alfred University. We have a wide breadth of majors to choose from.
- Student must be taking a course of study that is college preparatory in scope.
- Student must complete and submit their Alfred University application by December 1st of their senior year.
