Scholarship Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application. You only need to complete this application ONE TIME.
- Send Ms. Westervelt an email (jwestervelt@bethlehemschools.org). Include the following in the email:
Put your name, first and last in the subject line
In the body of the email, please list the scholarships for which you are applying
Submit the following documents. Submit all documents in the same email:
An unofficial copy of your transcript
A copy of your anticipated course schedule for senior year
Your resume
The essays
Please submit these documents in PDF form or as a Google Doc.
IMPORTANT:
Your essay needs to reflect how you meet the mission statement of the college or university. The mission statement is included on the page with the scholarship criteria.
Your essay should be well thought out, organized, and clearly articulate with examples how you meet the mission statement and why you should be considered for this award.
Your essay should have an introduction, body and conclusion.
Make sure your name and the award you are applying for are listed on your essay.
Each essay should be in a separate document.
Do not reuse the same essay for each scholarship. Do not recycle an essay from a class or an assignment. Your essay must be authentic and specific to the award and award criteria.
- Your recommendation should be emailed to Ms. Westervelt by the person who wrote it for you. Please ask this person to put your name (first and last) in the subject line.
