Scholarship Application Process

1. Complete the scholarship application. You only need to complete this application ONE TIME. 

2. Turn the following in on Google Classroom. Include the following information for EACH SCHOLARSHIP YOU ARE APPLYING FOR. The Classroom join code is 2qpipgf 

• Submit the following documents. Submit all documents for each award you are applying for.

  • • • An unofficial copy of your transcript (get this from your counselor)

      • A copy of your anticipated course schedule for senior year (get this from your counselor)

      • A copy of your current class schedule (download from Aspen)

      • Your resume (there are templates on Google Docs and on Canva)

      • The essay (see below)

• Please submit these documents in PDF form to the Google Classroom page. Turn them in under the school to which you are applying for a scholarship. 

IMPORTANT:

• Your essay needs to reflect how you meet the mission statement of the college or university. The mission statement is included on the page with the scholarship criteria. 

• Your essay should be well thought out, organized, and clearly articulate with examples how you meet the mission statement and why you should be considered for this award. 

• Your essay should have an introduction, body and conclusion. 

• Make sure your name and the award you are applying for are listed on your essay. 

• Each essay should be in a separate document. 

Do not reuse the same essay for each scholarship. Do not recycle an essay from a class or an assignment. Your essay must be authentic and specific to the award and award criteria.

3. Your recommendation should be emailed to Ms. Westervelt by the person who wrote it for you. Please ask this person to put your name (first and last) in the subject line.
