FOODS TO AVOID
Read labels and avoid these things (some of them are illegal in your country):
Farmed fish (if you buy fresh or frozen fish, choose wild caught fish)
Partially hydrogenated oils (trans fat)
Corn syrup, especially high fructose corn syrup (found in many packaged bread, candies, cookies, drinks)
Anything you cannot define as food!
The preservatives BHT & BHA
Milk and dairy products laced with rBGH (Trader Joe’s doesn’t use that kind of milk) If you can, buy organic, whole milk products.
Aspartame
MSG (monosodium glutamate). This additive causes problems for some people.
HVP (hydrolyzed vegetable protein)
Acesulfame potassium (acesulfame K) 8 potassium bromate
Sodium nitrate or nitrite (Nitrates can give you a headache. Read labels on hot dogs and bacon to make sure it doesn’t have them.)
Propyl gallate
Sodium benzoate
Artificial colors
Peanut butter that has anything in it besides peanuts.
Try to get organic fruit, vegetables, chicken and meat.
