Bachelor students are encouraged to plan their exchanges in the second year of their studies. (Architecture students might consider the third year as well.) Master’s students are encouraged to go in the third semester but should be aware that this involves a commitment to doing your thesis preparation independently. A call for applications is sent when it is possible to apply for exchanges. 

There are some funding possibilities to help cover some of the costs of the exchange, for example through the Erasmus program. For more information contact the International Office at exchange@berlin-international.de.
