Part V: Preparation of Filter Disks for Antibacterial tests

Filter disks are punched and prepared for sterilization.

Filter disks are made using a hole puncher and then placed in a vial. The vial is covered with foil and sealed with autoclave tape.

Preparing the filter disks

Materials needed: glass scintilation vial, filter paper, hole punch, foil, autoclave tape

Punch out 15 disks from the filter paper and transfer them to the scintillation vial.
Cover the vial with foil and secure with a piece of autoclave tape.
