Substitute Resources
This page has been developed to support you in your efforts to be an effective substitute teacher. It is essential that a positive and safe learning climate be maintained in each classroom so our students are able to pursue academic success. The resources below will ensure that you have easy access to information regarding the programs, technology, and expectations within our school system.
The mission of Bedford County Public Schools incorporates our acronym BCPS: Building Citizens. Promoting Success. As a substitute teacher, you play a valuable role in promoting the success of our students with high-quality instruction in the absence of the regular teacher.
We thank you for helping us accomplish our organizational mission. Please call on an administrator, office staff, or other school staff, if you need assistance while you are in our school buildings. Suzanne White is your contact person if you need support from the division level. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve your substitute experience please email her at suzanne.white@bedford.k12.va.us.
